Installation Troubleshoot

Try installing MicroZAccess Desktop App in a different location. If you are installing the software in a location that is already occupied by another program, the installation may fail.

Try running the installation as an administrator. To do this, right-click on the installation file and select "Run as administrator."

Try uninstalling and reinstalling MicroZAccess Desktop App. This may fix any corrupted files that are causing the installation to fail.

Other issues that you could run into while trying to install the MicroZAccess Desktop App:

  • Corrupted installation file:

    • Try downloading the installation file again.

    • Try running the installation file in Safe Mode.

    • Try repairing the installation file using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility.

  • Incompatible operating system:

    • Check the system requirements for the software to make sure that your computer meets the requirements.

    • Try running the installation on a computer with a compatible operating system.

  • Insufficient disk space:

    • Free up some disk space on your computer.

    • Try installing the software on a computer with more disk space.

  • Insufficient permissions:

    • Run the installation as an administrator.

    • Contact the software developer for support to get the permissions you need.

  • Conflict with another program:

    • Try uninstalling the conflicting program.

    • Try installing the software on a computer without the conflicting program.

  • Hardware failure:

    • Check your computer's hardware for any problems.

    • Try installing the software on a computer with working hardware

Repairing software:

  1. Open the .msi file.

  2. Click on the "Repair" button.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to repair the software.

Uninstalling software:

  1. Open the .msi file.

  2. Click on the "Remove" button.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the software.

Once the installation of MicroZAccess Desktop Client is successfully completed, you can open the COSGrid MicroZAccess.exe file by navigating the desktop shortcut or by using windows search.

On the login page, select the desired sign-in method:

  • Email and password

  • Google Single-Sign-On

Enter your credentials and click on "Login".

The default login page of MicroZAccess Desktop App will be in Client/Agent mode.

Once logged in, the default server will connect automatically. You can find your profile details, FAQ, and privacy policy on the navigation bar of the application. Once connected, your private IP will be displayed along with your device name, time, location, and device status (connected/online/disconnected) will be shown on the dashboard.

Note - Support for Linux and MacOS is still under development, watch out this space for any updates.
